‘I feel like I need something bigger from life’ – UNFOLDING FUTURE
For this new series, I photographed the paper planes made by my 8-year-old son. Out of fascination for their seemingly endless variations, I captured more than 100 of them, all different. By capturing them out of context, against a plane background, I invite you to see, really see, the beauty in these little, imperfect everyday creations.
The inspiration for this series came at a moment in my life where I was experiencing no sense of direction, a void. What does the future look like if there’s no plan? Do I dare to surrender to the unknown and see it for what it really is: endless potential? This series is about living with the unknown and creating from emptiness. About choosing joy and curiosity over ‘what if’ and ‘I should’.
The words below are part of a poem that I wrote as part of the series.
